BIOGRAPHY OF A MUSICIAN |
|
Knowing me is knowing my music, since that is where most of my life exists. Starting with piano lessons at 7 years old, I began performing R&B songs at the age of nine, although my first performance was actually a country song (Kenny Rogers' "The Gambler"). Either way, by the time I was 11 I earned a scholarship to the R.D. Colburn School of the Performing Arts, in Los Angeles. Here I studied jazz, adding this genre to my palette until I earned another scholarship, this time to Pepperdine University, where I majored in classical music. By this point I had grown to enjoy studying | music, so after completing my bachelors at Pepperdine I earned a masters in classical music from Cal-State Northridge.

Since college I've done some touring (Columbia Records), studio work (Capitol Records, MCA Records), engineering (Bad Boy Records, No Limit Records) and even performed in West Africa (Senegal) and Europe (Paris, London). I'm a leo, and I like to read poetry and take long walks on the beach . . . okay seriously, back to the point. My life certainly has been a musical one, and I've drawn from all of these experiences to create my current labor of love, URBAN RENAISSANCE. |
